my tumble dryer says empty water when its empty?

I have Hotpoint Condenser tumble dryer, the displays says empty the water but the tray is empty it doesnt seem to recognise this, can anyone help please?

Hi Jo if it's an Ultima then they don't have a sensor to tell if it's empty. It will detect if it's full though.
