Ideal Classic Switching on and off?

I have an Ideal Classic boiler which for some reason keeps switching itself on for a couple of minutes at least 3-4 times and hour...this can't be economical and I can't figure out what is wrong with it. I need help!

maybe a sticking microswitch on a motorised valve, or may be a frost stat kicking in if you have one?
