my rover 25 has been stood for 9 months we are now driving it but it keeps popping and jumping espcially when we put our foot down doesnt seem to have power it wants to go but cant it has new spark plugs can anyone help

check your oil and anti freeze if all anti freeze gone and if oil seems to look creamy around lid it is prob your head gasket. mine went 2 months ago i had a modified one put on but you will need oil and filter change and new anti freeze adding, dont allow mechanic to add rover original gasket you need modified one as this will stop it happening again, it will prob cost all in and labour £400

probably fuel gone stale in petrol tank. after about 6 months fuel loses its edge and doesnt fire very good. does exhaust fumes smell different? fill up with fresh fuel and drive on a long run.
