How can I fix my washing machine, Whirlpool, LSC8244BQ1?

It will fill up and go through the cycle without agitating. An appliance store told me I could probably fix it myself, I just need to know how. I believe that it is a direct-drive (so no belt), but I'm not 100% sure. Any help would be highly appreciated as I don't have the money to replace it!!!!
It is a Whirlpool, model #LSC8244BQ1 . Thanks in advance

I have the same problem, It because the Agitator clutch is wear off. Replace them they cost about $5. Check following link for the part number 10 in the drawing.

Hello,

There is no belt on your washer it has a coupling instead. Does the motor run when its supposed to be agitating? Same for spin cycle? If thats the case, your coupling is probably broken and has to be replaced.
