Handle broken and now cant open door to fix and replace part?

Handle to open door of dishwasher was becoming tight and harder to open. When it did open there was a loud click and had to pull door firmly to open it. Now it will not open at all and handle is very loose. Metal strip/spring has since fallen inside of door panel when i was trying to fix/open door.
Need advice on how to open door now so i can replace handle or lock clip/device. Have tried numerous things. Now ready to use oxy to cut door off as half my dishes are inside and wife has left me. Washing up by hand sucks!
As you can see i am getting desperate for getting door opened. Can any one help please?
PS also need new girlfriend
