How do I fix my Creda Europa Cooker T1?

The fan assisted oven is not working properly. I am trying to replace the complete Main Oven Switch & its connected thermostat. I have the new unit, but am unable without cutting the insolation to remove the old thermostat. At the rear it seems that the thermostat has been pushed in through a tube on the exterior of the cooker within the insolation, but I am unable to jiggle it out. I can see no screw etc that might be holding it. Has anybody a good suggestion regarding the removal of the thermostat ??

I have a Creda Europa Gas Oven, and I changed the thermostat a short while ago, once I removed the cover in the main oven it came out quite easly. However thsi was not the fault, it was the Flame Failure device that had failed. The symptoms were that the oven would light but the flame would not increase in size.
