they only ever have one in the transmission (always on crankshaft) as adam says and the usual pipe . it is a common misconception that they are in the carb but this is crap! there is a gold disc in the reed inlet from the carb but do NOT take this out DO NOT! PLEASE PEOPLE REMEMBER TO UPJET!!! EVER HEARD OF BORE WASH? LOL

i dont have any instructions but...take the transmission cover off(leave the kickstart bolted to it) then undo the nut on the end of the crankshaft it will be on your left it holds the variator on this nut is tight and may need an impact gun tho get it off.then take the nut/washer /plastic fan/aand then the outer half of the variator off.then you will see the belt and another washer thats flat take the flat wahser out and then you can see the next part which is the ring shaped spacer it has a bigger hole in the middle than the flat washer as fits over the big spacer that the rest of the variator is on,take this ring shaped spacer off and put it back together again.do the nut up tight and make sure you put some loctite on the thread or it will fall off and cost you time and money.

just one. wedding ring shaped washer/spacer from the variator it actually fits over the big spacer that the variator is mounted on.takw this one off the give the transmission more room to gear up and increase the top speed.
