Try the air flow mass meter. Common fault with contact terminal burning out. No air coming in engine goes into limp home. Will not show on any fault codes. Had this on my Citroen for months and garage useless. £40 fix tops rather than ECU's, turbos EGR's etc

Peugeot 307: If your car does start normally in first attempt then Glow plugs doesn't play a role to cause limp mode. There are several other reasons including turbo waste gate actuator, EGR solenoid problem, diesel pressure drop or any single injector is not working. If the Engine management light is on then definitly there is a trouble code registered by ECU. Let diagnose your car and read the fault code to narrow down the problem.

glow plugs is really the only thing left.if computer fault reads gluw plug relay fault then the problem is your glow plugs as there is a current sensor reading the current being drawn is not reading enough current as one or more of the glow plugs isnt working so car WILL GO INTO LIMP MODE and you WILL HAVE AN ANTI POLLUTION FAULT LIGHT appearing.people say glow plugs will not cause a car to go into limp mode but they will.
