adam!where exactly is the washer i need to remove from the variator?when i look at the nut that holds the part with the fins on theres a washer about 6mm!is that it?cant see anything behind that!i think it might still be fitted cause theres only afew threads showing on the end ov the shaft!

ok yountake the finned part off and behind that there should be a thin washer thats flat,then there should be a wedding ring shaped spacer washer that actually fits over the main spacer the the variator sits on ,this one is the resrictor and needs taking off.a good way to tell ifit has been done is to look at how far the belt is to the outside edge of the variator you can see a distinct mark to where it travels out to when its fully geared up if its more than 10mm away its still restricted.
