slip under the front of the van and slide your hand up between the front of the engine and the radiator. just behind the top hose there is a small lever where the release mechanism connects. just push on this and it will release the bonnet

front grille at bottom locates with plastic pegs into rubber bushes,you should be able to "spring" it out them if careful then you may be able to access release mechanism.
