How can I repair my McCullah weed eater Eager Beaver 282 ?

On the bottom of my weed eater where the string head goes there is a nut that you slide the string head up against, how do I get the nut off, I am replacing the string with a weed whacker and the nut is too big, I need to replace it, I have the replacement but I get the old one of. It is a Eager Beaver 280 made by McCullah. THANK YOU.

This is a reverse thread bolt. Turn the bolt counter clockwise. You may need to rap it with a hammer once or twice before it will break loose.
