does it have a spark?have you checked that yet?you need to take the spark plug out push the ht cap back onto it then rest it on the cylinder head and then kick the engine over and see if it sparks before you do anything else.if it doesnt then try undoing the cap (it unscrews off the lead) then hold that about 1mm from the head and get someone else to kick it and see if a blue spark jumps the gap to the head.
