Unplug the unit and then remove the cover from the bottom of the unit and hoover up the dust on the grill. Do the same from behind by removing the back plate and getting in from behind. Take care not to damage the fan. Replug and switch on and hopefully things should start getting back to normal within about 10-15 mins. This worked for me.
