hi there, had a problem with a sprinter 208 model,doing just that, loads of blue/grey smoke?? it turned out to be a cylinder head gasket, it ran fine,started fine,didnt overheat etc. but because it was diesel, simply burnt the excess oil.....common fault on sprinters...hope this helps.
