the drum on my washer isnt turning at all, ive tried resetting it, cleaning the filter etc but still it wont turn, what can be wrong and will i be able to fix it myself (money is extremely tight at the minute)

as a follow up

phoned servis today... gone bankrupt so they forwarded my call to a repair service, apparently they offer a fix price repair facility (159pound) the washer didnt cost me that!!
also had a look at the belt, the belt is intact and tight so its not that, please help!!
