I have had a problem starting my scooter of late after i had it MOT and I pointed it out to the machanic he said I had old fuel as it has been in for about 15months Ive changed the spark plug adj the gap 06-07mm? The only thing I have not done is replaced the fuel its and 53 plate with 3600kms on the clock. It turns over just does not fire up.

well he is right i expect the fuel has emulsified in the carb and it has blocked a jet or two the choke jet is very small and will block easily as will the pilot jet you need to strip the carburettor down and clean the jets out and drain the tank and put fresh fuel in it.
