how does water get in my honda cbr125 engine 2004
seanmckibbin, March 2010
if its the white mayonaise looking oil your worried about inside the engine then it forms through condensation as the engine is cold then it warms up fast and then goes cold again, you need to go for longer runs on it to stop it from doing that. There is a certain amount that comes in as a vapour from the air filter especailly when its raining or foggy but this will just burn up if any passes through the carb into the head.if fact people have water injection put on cars to make them go faster as it condenses the air and therefore you get more cc in the engine which make it go faster.the only other way water can get in there is if the head gasket has gone and its leaking past the gasket into the combustion chamber but this will steam out of the exhaust alot when it is running and also there will be a small jakuzzi in your radiator. when its running with the rad cap off have a look and see if its bubbling alot.

can come in through the air intake valve, take out the spark plugs, and see if the are wet, you could try changing the oil. you might get it out that way ....
