Hi, if you're talking about the lock behind the Ford badge, insert key and turn anti-clockwise, this should partly release the bonnet. Then turn the key clockwise while at the same time lifting the bonnet by its front edge. Bonnet should swing up free of the lock. PS when I open mine, whilst turning the key anti-clock I push down gently on the bonnet, I think it makes it easier on the key. Hope that's some help.
