Which post filter for Dyson DC04?

My Dyson DC04 only has a post filter pad, should it have a full post filter? We got it as a reconditioned unit.

It depends what model it is (identified by the colour) as to if it should be fitted with a HEPA filter.

However, any DC04 will be just fine with the felt pad alone.
