My Craftsman riding mower will not start. It's getting fuel but has no spark. Checked the wiring but see no bad wires. Suspect the seat grounding switch or the magneto coil. How can I test them to eliminate them as the problem?

Remove the earth cut out wire that comes from the coil down the side of the engine to the loom ( usually black ) once disconnected this will eliminate all the micro switches, just remenber that should it start you will not be able to stop it on the switch. If still no spark it will be the coil, assuming it does not have breaker points ignition
