battery backup failed on texecom veritas ?

alarm hasnt been used for a while so i replaced the battery & it now works on the mains & is receiving 13.84 volts at the battery terminals.
when the mains power is switched off it does not switch to battery / when the mains is turned back on the alarm sounds and is reset by normal code. please help

wow this is really strange of the veritas series id check the battery terminals that the wires are fine and that you are putting black on negative and red on plus if that dosent work then you may need a new panel im affraid

thanks for the fuses tip - checked the fuse and it is ok, replaced it anyway and the alarm panel still wont switch to battery backup when i turn the mains supply off???

look for a fuse in the main panel possibly on the bottom left hand side it will say batt take the fuse out and somewhere int he panel there should be some spair glass fuses on some holders replace it replace the lid and it should be fine
