Maytag washer Model # A8740--How do I remove the bad motor?

When removing the bad motor from the washer, how do I get it out of the motor pulley for the belts? There looks to be some kind of tool key opening in the pulley itself but Maytags instructions mention nothing about this and I can't figure out how to get this motor pulley to separate from the motor?
Can you instruct me? Thanks

Hello,

You are probably talking about the set screw that keeps the pulley tight. It probably has an allen wrench head on the screw to remove. Hope this helps.
