We have been told the part is not available at the Sears parts store, that it has to come from the manufacturer. The D/W is 1 1/2 years old, still under warranty for the electric control and power supply board. Sears will not come unless we pay $65 for a service call to determine the problem. There is nothing in the warranty that says there is a service charge. We do not plan to ever buy another Sears product.

It could be anything from a bad door latch, blown thermal fuse or bad control board causing a dead dishwasher.
