Indesit DE43 fills up with water but does nothing else?

My dishwasher start the cycle and fills up with water but the pump doesn't start up. Any ideas?

Found the fault, finally got a new pump. When I stripped the old pump down found that the mechanical seal had leaked allowing water into the motor windings and blowing them apart. The drain pump will not run if there is a fault in the main pump (thanks alot Indesit design gurus!)

My washer started this on Friday also after a A01 fault (drip tray overfill) I am led to belive that the open cage motor for the pump is quite happy to pull water into itself and reqire a £80-£100 approx replacement pump and motor, currently waiting on part to find out if this the only fault as I haven't found a cause for the tray overfill yet :(
