you machine appears to need a set of brushes! but could also be a motor controller or a motor, but hey it's a Miele and its a good old 828 it'll need brushes, you should pay around £20-00 for a set and fitted them requires a 10mm nut driver / spanner, a T20 torx and a small fla screw driver. wanna know how? Course you do! Turn the power off!!!!!!!!!!!!! take out the soap box, remove the three T20 torx from there hen open the door (manual release behing the filter flap(small orange ring pull down)) take out he three 10mm bolts, disconnect manual drain hose from filter flap door pull front panel open from left to right make sure power is off!!!!!!!!!!! bottom kicker panel needs to be removed (make life easy and dio it now) two caps out wih small screwdriver and remove wo torx. Have a look inside noew you'll see lots of wires going onto the motor take out the screws from the guard usually 3 maybe four disconnect the plugs from the motor leave attached to guard at his stage, having removed the screws pull the guard towards you and jiggle it out, you willbe impresssed by the size (cables still attached) pull his gently forwards out of the machine and you will be able to access the rear of the guard to safely release the cable tie holder, it is importan not o cut this as it needs to be refitted. Once the guard is disconnected set i o the sidde and you can now see the four screws hat hold the motor module in place, removed the screws and with draw the module ............. have a look at the brushes are they worn? fit he new brushes replace the motor module use the small flat o pop out the brushes from the holder onto the armature and refit the covers in the revese order as described. make sure you refit the cable tie mount to the motor cover unless you want a broken wire in the near future. happy fixing any other questions just ask
