i have 2 w reg water cooled speedfighters one was stolen recoverd but the ignition was ripped apart the other had a knackerd engine so iv swapped engines but the good engine has an extra wire coming from it it went to the ignition on the one i took it out of but iv tried that and it dont seem to make any differents the bike starts but you pull the throttle back and it only ticks over but its not ticking over smoothly iv checked the carb thats all ok can anyone advise me thanks shaun

hi mate iv sorted the bike out now i changed the imobilizer the bike then started and reved up but the back wheel went backwards so i took the keyway out and turned the flywheel slightly ainty clockwise now the bike runs fine but the temperature seems to be getting a bit hot as its water cooled any ideas cheers

hi mate iv found out the imobilizer was knackerd so i bought a bypass one that done the trick but thanks anyway

does it only rev up at 2,000 rpm? if so i bet it has an immobilizer, its running in service mode, you need the master key to try and reprogramme it. all the early peugeot igntions had 5 wires and one blank in the connector block so something is a little wrong there!
