i have a craftsman tiller model #917293492 i cant get my tinnes to go forward they go in revers. but shifts hard have greased it any idea what to do

your selector is going too far to the left (where forward and reverse tines are). My fix was to put a bolt in the selector slot on the handle. and therefore the selector will only go where you put the stop. works good for me. Keep plenty of grease, seems they would have used 90 weight oil. Hope this helps'
