reinstall?

i have an acer aspire one netbook. by accident it was totally wiped and now when i switch on it shows a picture and absolutely nothing is happening. it had linux and mozilla firefox and doesn't have a cd player. i tried copying the cd onto a pen drive but i can't get the pen drive to work. can you tell me what i need to do to install everything back on again back to how it was before it was wiped?

I had trouble restoring an Aspire One to the factory condition.

I followed the procedure given in the manual to create a recovery pen drive but nothing worked.

After a LOT of 'faffing about' I tried a SanDisk pen drive. IT WORKED PERFECTLY.

So, try doing the restore using a good quality pen drive. It solved the problem for me.
