Is there a part at the bottom of the fuel shaft that goes to the carb that restricts the amount of fuel into the carb?

There is an anti fire solinoid in the bottom of the float bowl, this will click as you turn the ignition on and off. The idea is to shut off the main jet as you switch the engine off to stop fuel build up in the muffler which ignites and causes a large bang.
