What's wrong with my Vauxhall Vectra?

My coolant is disappearing quite rapidly, The heater didn't work so I checked the water and it seems to disappear within a few miles. This morning white smoke came from the exhaust but I checked the oil cap and the oil is still black. Any clues? I hope it is not the head gasket!

it's your head gasket ,

if there are no obvious leaks then it will probably be a head gasket problem and white smoke from the exhaust seems to confirm this take it to a garage for a sniff test or buy a kit and do it yourself this test will confirm if there are any combustion gases in the cooling system
