How can I fix heating control on Nissan Almera Tino 2000?

Heating is only on hot. Found switch under dash drivers side which I can move manually to open intake door when I turn switch to cold. The cable moves fine then when I turn the knob to hot but when I turn it back to cold the cable doesn't push enough and the intake door doesn't shift.

If its a problem with the heating not being able to be turned down, you can remove the little compartment underneath the heating control knob and behind that up at the top there should be a wire cable which should slot into a sleeve.

This may have become jammed so if you try to lubricate the end of the sleeve then try to push the cable back into the sleeve.

If the cable has a bend in it, try to straighten it out or this will inevitably happen again.
