ford galaxy parking sensor contol box unit?

When your pipe comes disconnected for rear window and floods under passenger seat. does sensor box dry out and start working again. I have tried by using hair dryer on it but after a week still no joy. I guess it has to be replace with new one .

sometimes they dry out but more often than not they need replacing but they are expensive from Ford
