My Daniel Dakota 30 day key wound (time and chimes)clock will strike 12 times 3 or 4 times in a 12 hour period. It strikes 12 on 12 but also on the 3-the 4 sometimes- the 7. Any hour it doesn't strike 12 it does strike the right amount of times. It is driving me looney as I LOVE this clock

hour hand is on 12 instead of 6 just switch it leave it where it is take the hands off and un mount at 12 remount at 6

The levers in you clock need adjusting. There is a stop pin in the strike train that the lever catches after the proper hour is struck and stops the train. Many times because the levers are not properly adjusted they do not catch the pin securely and it continues to strike or chime.
