the white box on my ceiling, cord broke and now its oozing brown liquid and stinking. How do i replace this whole box and will it then be safe. The white box controls the electricity going into power my shower and id left it on for months after cord broke

Given that you need to ask it may be best to summon the services of an electrician. The oozing brown liquid will very probably be the plastic of the switch box breaking down over time with too much heat - it may have an ammonia smell or perhaps fishy.
