The radiator is leaking, I want to try to replace it myself. It is a 2.3 Deisel, 1996, should I take out the cage that holds the spare tyre? is there a best practise guide for replacing or any hints/tips?

Yes, you must dismantle the tire rack in order to take out the radiator fan blower with to screws below and three above. Make sure to unlatch the socket connectors of the fan blower to remove it. if you have cleared the two parts, you can now easily take out the radiator for you to replace it or check the leaks on it.
