citroen c5 bi-zone air con fault?

passenger side works as it should, but drivers side will only produce cool air.

Thanks to Bob for his information above. This helped me with the same issue. Unfortunately in my case the server motor and cog are OK, but the cog has snapped off the plastic "paddle" that it operates! For info 15mm copper pipe fits neatly into the hole and if a slot is cut in the end the paddle can be turned enough to give some relief from the icy blast! Not sure that making a hole in the side of the glove box is really going to be a satisfactory final solution though!

There are servo motors on each side of the air con housing under the dashboard forward of centre console.By the passengers right foot or drivers left foot .I had a problem with the passenger side not going to cool. With the aircon on but the fan turned off I could get the flap driven by the servo to change position and could hear the servo motor moving. I removed the servo from the housing and could see it moving with wiring connected. The problem was with airload from the fan the plastic drive adaptor into the flap was slipping. It is a metal spline on the servo into a plastic splined hole. Changing the housing would be a nightmare so I wrapped cellotape around the metal spline until it was a tight fit back in place and it now works.I suggest turning the fan speed down and operating the control full up and down waiting a little while as it responds slowly. if you can hear the servo moving then you may be able get the valve flap to move to a better position before you turn the fan back on.
