Peugeot Speedfighter 50cc LC Throttle sticking?

Hi my speedfighter now & again cuts out but will restart after about 1min. Also today my throttle stuck open. After switching of & restarting it was ok. Could this be the carb thats playing up & if so how do I gain easy access to the carb.

get to the carb from the left hand side of the bike above the kickstart,take the air filter off and then you can get to the two bolts that hold it on.
