Flamerite Apollo electric fire - worn on/off switch?

I have a Flamerite Apollo flame effect electric fire which has a small on/off button on the side. The button has stopped pushing in fully which I suspect is due to general wear and tear as its 8 years old, but I am now unable to switch the fire on at all. I like the fire and don't really want to change it but obviously its not much use as it is. Does anyone know if its possible to replace the switch?

Call Flamerite Fires on 01543 251122 and ask for Tracey as we still stock the switches and can give you a price on a new one or make an engineer call to you to fix the problem.

Hi Shirley,
I'm afraid I can't help you directly, I just have a suggestion.
I think you might solve the problem quicker if you can find someone near you who can get their hands on the heater and check out what's wrong and what's involved with fixing it.
You might be lucky asking online, and get an answer from someone who is familiar with the model, telling you how to fix it, but if you aren't experienced with mechanical and electrical work, you probably shouldn't do it yourself anyway, because with appliances, especially heaters, you need experience to avoid compromising safety.
