how do i change the water pump on my y.reg astra 1.6cd?

my car is over heating,when i turn the engine off the fan still spins for a while after, the thermastats working ok, my friend said i need a new pump but he isent sure where the pump is ive no idea,i dident get a owners manual with the car and cant seem to find one to download does anyone know how to change the pump and where to download a maual for

dont think it will be the water pump.look if there is enough coolant in the header tank,top up with anti freeze rather than water.there may be an air blockage in the cooling pipes system or your radiator may be blocked.if your thermostat is faulty and does not open this will cause over heating are you sure its ok.i recommend getting a haynes manual ,there is one for your car.try halfords.
