The door solenoid is making a clicking noise but after 3 clicks it the starts the beeping noise off. The machine has water in it and wont move on to the drain cycle but instead does the above. I have taken the whole interlock mechanism out and played around with it and l have tried to fix it by making the contacts inside touch constantly thinking this will overide the switch and allow the cycle to continue. No joy though. Any ideas?

the clicking noise from the door interlock is an indication that the door interlock has failed HOWEVER these locks can cause the main pcb triac that controls the door lock to blow and although a new door lock has been fitted can sometimes still not work!.Hopefully the fact it is still clicking would mean the lock might be the only issue but stop trying it as it could cause pcb issues
