Whirlpool ADP962 failure - Error Codes?

Dishwasher started unattended and after 10 seconds went to a flashing power light state. Tried holding power button and it sounds like it is trying to finish cycle but still flashes when stopped. Have unplugging and disconnected but this didn't resolve issue.

Have turned dial to '0' and turned back on whilst holding power button and power light stops flashing but wash light then flashes. When I then reset by holding power button down, it goes back to original fault state.

Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

Thanks for your help :-)

Had the same problem and received this advice from a Whirpool tech and it's worked! Take the bottom rack out of dishwasher, then remove the round plastic filter and metal filter. You will see a small black, round plastic cover on the right hand side of this opened area. Do not remove as it is another valve filter but have a look to see if there is white gunk over it. If so, very GENTLY, with an old toothbrush and some warm water rub over the black filter to get rid of the gunk. Do not use anything else or be rough with it as it is quite fragile. After removing the gunk, put it all back together and try using again. You may have to hold the start button down again as the dishwasher could be out of cycle but it should work properly after that. Tech said if that doesnt fix it (it worked for me) you will definitely need to get a service call. Hope this helps...this tip saved me a service call and/or the cost of a new dishwasher.

I have exactly the same problem with my adp962. Some forums have suggested it is due to a faulty NTC probe. When I put my machine on it's side to have a look underneath some water came out at the bottom and there was water still in the drainage tube. I thought this might be down to a faulty drain pump and replaced it. It did not fix the problem but the new pump is much quieter!
Then I thought about the problem properly. There is a drip tray on the bottom which catches condensation from the condensor through one of two green tubes. There is a float switch (a black plastic frame with a white poystyrene disc inside) which sits just above or on the drip tray. If the water level in the tray rises too high the float rises and triggers a switch which cancels the programme and pumps the water out. The amount of water I'm getting is obviously caused by a leak somewhere but I haven't found it yet.
After I have cleared the water out and put the machine back together I can restart it. I can hear the water going in but about one second after the wash cycle starts it stops and pumps out.
I suspect it is due to a leaking wash pump as it is wet around that area when I check afterwards. I am not sure yet whether to gamble and try to replace it or just buy another machine.
Hope this helps.
If you've managed to fix yours please let me know.
