i bought the scooter knowing it needed a new barrel as it has half a key stuck in there and i am unable to remove it, i discovered the immoboliser is still turned on and instead of paying £200 for a new cdi unit and barrel id like to know the best way to remove it without affecting anything electrical.

CANNOT be bypassed at all! buy a ecu kit off a damaged one!

the top half of the key has the chip in it so dont lose that part!the key can be removed by drilling a small hole up inside the barrel sometimes i ahve dont it before and poke the broken key part out or buy anothe lock set and take the chip out of the old key and tape it to the top of the new key.or if your new key has a chip in it take it out and replace it with your old one.
