high revving ford focus?

my focus is revving on its own accord at 3000 revs at lights etc, ive had diagnostics done and the garage tell me there is no error code, and nothing wrong either mechanicaly or electrically,????? please help, its driving me mad!

I have the same problem, mine revs up to 4000 revs put new throttle position sensor but still same. had krypton tuners out they couldn't find no problems. I'm going to check hoses for leaks as advised, I will let you know how I go on

Had exactly the same problem on a Focus 1.6 Zetec.
It was a split hose.
Look under the intake manifold. The four pipes at the front of the engine.
There are three hoses (about 15mm diameter that join together under there.
They are difficult to get at but can be changed in place with the help of long nose pliers and a screwdriver.
It was the longer hose on the left that was my problem and with the engine idling if you pushed it you could hear the engine revs change.
When removed it was split underneath.
