How can I fix my Bosch Formula Pro Pets 1800w Vacuum Cleaner?

The power cord on my Bosch Formula Pro Pets 1800w Vacuum Cleaner is stuck - it won't rewind - how do I fix this? I have tried being gentle with it as advised by Bosch!!
