Whats wrong with my auto box?

I have a Mercedes-Benz E class with an auto box.
It changes very quickly from 1st to 4th and will not come back down the box until the car comes to a stop also it will not go in to kick down.
I can select all gears up and down by doing it manually.

Remove the carpet/mat from around throttle peddle to enable full throttle and kickdown. Repost with year etc if problem not solved
