how do I fix a 1990 suzuki gs500e carb issues?

I have a 1990 gs500e, was put away with old fuel in it. I have cleaned the carbs. But now only get fuel to one side of the carb(twin carb). The bike will run if fuel is inected manually to the starving carb. any ideas.

well there is a fuel line that goes between the two carbs at the back into a black plastic union. This could be blocked where it links to the carb that has got the issues or it could be that the float needle is not allowing the fuel to get into the float bowl if the needle is stuck which is likeley, its a coomon problem for a carb full of emusified fuel to have a build up on the the side of the float needle and needle seat and this causes the tightness of the needle and does not allow it to drop down and allow fuel in ,also this can cause flooding of the carb as the needle will not always seat properly in the needle seat.
