peugeot speedfight hard to start?

eney one help me got peugeot speedfight 100cc that is verry hard to start . every time i do get it to start i hav to keep the revs on are it will just cut out iv cheked the carb and its getting fuel to the engein and iv cheked the spark thats ok nice blue coulor and iv cheked the oil seal and thats ok as well so could it be something to do with the piston and rings .I took the piston barrel of and on the piston there is scorch marks allover it from it rubing on the barrel.or could it be some thing to do with the fly weel thanks.

I was thinking the same as adam,but you mention there is marks on the piston? it could be a number of reasons why but how its marked will tell a storey.ask whoever is reboring it what he thinks otherwise the same might happen again,

miggie before you even mentioned the piston and barrel i was going to write back to check them as this is a common reason for the engine not to want to idle and also cause bad power delivery,so yes this i the problem a lack of compression.get an oversized piston like a .50mm over one and get the barrel rebored to match it.
