bad gas in a John Deere riding lawnmower?

What can I do? I put old gas in my John Deere riding lawnmower. It stalled in a few minutes and won't start.

Pull the hose from the carb and drain the fuel from the tank, if there is a drain on the bottom of the float bowl, drain the fuel, if not remove the float bowl and drain, fill the tank with fresh fuel and try again
