How can I fix the starter on my chinese motor scooter?

I have a 2008 xingue xy260t-4. when I turn the key off,
the starter continues to operate until the battery goes
dead. Any ideas?

I would check the starter relay as it may be stuck. I would not expect any of the handlebar switches or wiring to be shorted.

that means that the starter relay is fused together inside on the two main poles,you need to take it off and get a new one.that will fix it.
