Ford KA electrics?

Got into my Ford KA this morning....started it up normally. The radio wasn't working (just static and crackling) the speedo wasn't working, the fuel guage wasn't working and the battery light was on. Only noticed the radio until I had driven about a mile down the road. Stopped the car and the fuel guage came on! Any ideas?
